To launch the Rewilding the Highlands Project with our partners Glengarry Community Woodlands, Trees for Life will be organising a two day journey with ponies carrying a gift of native trees from Glenmoriston to Invergarry. As we (an intergenerational and interdisciplinary group) travel on old drove roads, military roads, coffin roads and more recent bulldozed tracks , we will be reflecting and dreaming about how the landscape has changed and will change over the centuries, and finding places to plant trees where the Gaelic place name tells us these trees thrived or were significant at one time.

There will be opportunities to meet the ponies and the travellers at around 3pm in Fort Augustus on Saturday the 10th September and at 3pm in Invergarry on Sunday 11th September, where storyteller Ariel Killick will be giving a unique bilingual performance of 'Adventures with the Gaelic Alphabet & Trees'.
